Awful. I booked an appointment in Trumbull office and traveled from Long Island to get there. I told all those who spoke with me in his office that I was scheduling a consult to talk about my son who has had severe gas pains. I made it clear that I was not bringing my child. My child is in a wheelchair and is nonverbal. I wanted to talk to the doctor without my child and the doctor's partner had already seen him. The partner in the practice was a waste of time. I had made the time to talk to Dr. Porto because other mothers spoke highly of him. I hoped that he would listen to me and if we decided, I could bring my son another time. Dr. Porto refused to see me and he sent an employee in to deliver the message. Why can I not schedule a consult with the doctor to give background and explore ideas especially when his partner already saw my child? Why does my child need to sit there while I talk about him? Why could the doctor not ever deliver the message himself?
